Child safety
standards.
orbiTome has a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation. Here is how we prevent it, how to report, and how we act against it.
Last updated: 3 June 2026 · Version 1.0
01 · Commitment
Our commitment: zero tolerance
orbiTome enforces a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Protecting minors is a responsibility we treat as a top, non-negotiable priority.
Zero tolerance, no exceptions. Any content, behaviour, contact or request that sexualises, grooms, exploits or endangers a person under the age of 18 is strictly prohibited. Violations result in immediate removal of the content, a permanent account ban, and reporting to the competent authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or local law enforcement.
These standards are public, globally accessible to anyone anywhere, and apply to every user of orbiTome, the app published on Google Play.
02 · Definitions
Definitions
- Minor: any person under the age of 18 (or the age of majority under applicable local law).
- CSAE (Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation): any form of sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor, including grooming, sexual extortion (sextortion), trafficking and solicitation.
- CSAM (Child Sexual Abuse Material): any visual depiction — photos, videos or generated imagery — involving a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct. Producing, possessing and sharing CSAM is illegal internationally.
03 · Prohibited
Strictly prohibited conduct
The following is absolutely forbidden on orbiTome:
- Producing, uploading, sharing, requesting or promoting CSAM in any form.
- Grooming, manipulating or initiating sexualised contact with a minor.
- Sexualising minors through text, images, usernames, events or any other content.
- Soliciting sexual meetings, images or information from or about a minor.
- Extorting a minor by threatening to share intimate material (sextortion).
- Facilitating trafficking, exploitation or physical meetings for the purpose of abusing minors.
- Sharing contacts, locations or data with the intent to facilitate harm to a minor.
These rules supplement and reinforce the orbiTome Terms of Service.
04 · Prevention
How we prevent abuse
Safety is built into the very design of orbiTome:
- Not directed at children. orbiTome is a geo-social events radar designed for an adult audience and is not aimed at children.
- Verified identity. Sign-in requires phone-number verification (OTP), which discourages anonymous accounts and ensures accountability in case of abuse.
- Anti-stalking block button. Every user can instantly block any other contact. The block is reciprocal and prevents any further visibility or contact — a key tool against harassment, stalking and grooming.
- No public chat or media exchange. orbiTome offers no public image feeds and no open messaging, drastically reducing the vectors for distributing illicit content.
- Ephemeral events and Ghost Mode. Events auto-delete within 2 hours, and Ghost Mode keeps a user invisible on the public map, limiting unwanted exposure.
- Safe advertising. Ads are served through Google AdMob with its content-appropriateness filters.
- Reporting and review tools. Users can report suspicious content or profiles; every child-safety report is treated as top priority.
05 · Reporting
How to report abuse
If you encounter content or behaviour that puts a minor at risk, report it immediately. Every report is handled with the utmost urgency and confidentiality.
- In the app: use the report and block function available on every profile and event, or the “Send feedback / Report a problem” option in settings.
- By email: contact our child-safety point of contact at privacysicurezza@orbitome.com.
- Local authorities: contact your national police, or find your country's hotline via INHOPE — inhope.org.
- Internationally: NCMEC CyberTipline — report.cybertip.org.
Immediate danger? If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number right away (112 in the EU, 911 in the US).
06 · Response
Our response
When we obtain actual knowledge of CSAM or of a violation of these child-safety standards, we act without delay:
- Immediate removal of the illicit content.
- Suspension and permanent ban of the responsible account.
- Preservation of relevant evidence, in accordance with the law.
- Reporting of confirmed CSAM to NCMEC and/or the competent authorities.
- Full cooperation with law-enforcement investigations.
07 · Law enforcement
Cooperation with law enforcement
orbiTome operates in compliance with applicable child-safety laws. In particular:
- We have a process to report confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or the competent regional and national authorities, as required by law.
- We respond to lawful requests from law enforcement and preserve and disclose data within the limits set by applicable regulation.
- We align our practices with industry best practices, including the Tech Coalition's guidance for combating online CSEA.
08 · Minors
Minimum age and protection of minors
orbiTome is not directed at children. The minimum age for use is 13 (or the minimum age required by applicable local law). Regardless of the minimum age for access, sexualising or exploiting any person under the age of 18 is always strictly prohibited.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a minor has provided personal data or is exposed to a risk, contact us at privacysicurezza@orbitome.com for a prompt response.
09 · Contact
Child safety point of contact
We have designated a dedicated point of contact to receive child-safety notifications, including from Google Play, to discuss our enforcement and review procedures, and to take action where required.
We review every CSAE-related report as our top priority.
